Burridge finished

Yes, it is. Yes, indeed. And I couldn't be happier!

And just in time, too -- my BIL's birthday is today. My husband is en route to Cleveland for the party (I couldn't come due to Stupid Work -- by the way, I'm going right on target with my real-life spring goals), so BIL will get it today.

Let's see -- I've blogged a decent amount about this blanket already, so let's just do a quick sum-up, shall we?

Pattern: Burridge Lake Afghan, by Anna Dalvi, published in Magknits 10/07

Yarn: Caron Simply Soft in Bone colorway. No way could I have afforded wool.

Needles: Needlemaster size 8. I love my Needlemaster, I really do.

Finished measurements: I didn't pull out a tape measurer, but it's about 6x4 feet. A little under 6 feet in length, but not by much. That's ALOT of cables.

Started: October 2007, basically right after the pattern came out -- I just HAD to make this

Finished: Yesterday, April 4th, 2008

I almost didn't attach the top and bottom panels to this, but am glad I did! They really stabilize the pattern. I goofed the seaming tension on one panel, though, but it's not too noticeable.

I really do love this blanket, despite our disagreements. I hope BIL likes it, too.

It's beautiful! I never would have guessed that it's acrylic. Looks like wool! Simply Soft is a good acrylic yarn, especially for blankets. Easy care!

I LOVE This blanket--it looks wonderful. I just wish I could touch it in person! Also--just wondering--any chance when we're back in Chicago I could take you and Anna & N to see the Magician's Nephew if we're able to squeeze it in the midst of our crazy packing schedule?

Can't wait to see you,

Jenny
